Jesús López-Cobos leads the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento in two performances this season, featuring Mozart’s Overture to Idomeneo and the aria “Vorrei spiegarvi, oh Dio!” with soprano Anu Komsi, Britten’s Les illuminations, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3 (“Eroica”). Concerts take place on February 23 at the Bolzano Auditorium, and on February 24 in Trento at the Auditorium.

Following several appearances throughout Europe, Jesús López Cobos travels to North America in early 2016 to lead some of the continent's most acclaimed orchestras. He returns to the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra from January 22-24, with a programme featuring Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 with pianist Garrick Ohlsson, Dvořák's Eighth Symphony, and the West Coast premiere of Halffter's Tiento del primer tono y batalla imperial.

Jesús López Cobos travels to Belgium this winter, to lead performances of Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie. Performances take place November 17, 20, 22, 25 & 28 and December 1 at the spectacular Théâtre Royal. This new production, directed by Stefano Mazzonis di Pralafera, features Annick Massis in the title role, Celso Albelo as Edgardo, and Ivan Thirion as Enrico.

Jesús López-Cobos leads a spectacular new production of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale at the Vienna Staatsoper this spring. Mr. López-Cobos is a mainstay at the house, having recently led critically acclaimed performances of La Cenerentola, Nabucco, and Manon in recent seasons. Juan Diego Flórez sings Ernesto, Michele Pertusi is featured in the title role, Alessio Arduini is Dr. Malatesta, and Valentina Naforniţa sings Norina to round out the cast, with director Irina Brook. Performances take place April 26 & 29, and May 2, 5, 8 & 11.
